June 2021
Job security with a stagnant culture.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Owasso:
Pros: Pay and benefits are well above average
Cons: Most people have become complacent, rote, and hardened. People talk about avoiding “that’s the way we’ve always done it,” but when new ideas are proposed they’re still met with mountains of resistance. I feel I own my responsibilities and seek out-of-the-box solutions, while others I work with are just there to get a paycheck. It’s hard to motivate that which does not want to move. Additionally, existing systems/equipment are so antiquated and established very few business cases are worth investment.
