What is it like working as a Security Officer?

Security Officer:
Pros: The oppurtunity to interact with people from all walks of life, the knowledge that your there to make customers/members of staff feel safe in there enviroment, on going support from the area manager and from the company its self as they are always available to give you all the help and support you need.
Cons: The only concern I have is the acutual working week, which should be set on a shift basis.

Pros: The people that we service are polite especially at night. Its peaceful.
Cons: The employees during the day are just in a rush it seems. Like dont pay no mind to the low level security guard. Like they are better because they are doing something that actually matters for energy and we are just here looking pretty in a metal badge.

Security and customer service.
Security Officer:
Pros: I like serving the client and customers with the best care I can give them. It is my job to make sure they are secure in there work place. I enjoy the customers and employee's and I take pride in assuring there needs, safety, and customer service. Knowing this is accomplished gives me a good feeling of satisfaction.
Cons: IAt times it can be abit slow, however I find chores, cleaning or other to over come this.

Got a degree for a career not just a job.

Pros: Some of the people I work with are okay.
Cons: The pay isnt what im qualified to earn.

Pros: The opportunity to work with others.
Cons: Bad performances , not coming to work ,

Security Officer:
Pros: Being able to experience new things and diversity on a regular basis.
Being able to help people when in need and providing knowledgeable information.
Physically active with a mix of relaxing downtime.
Some cases being able to get paid for watching t.v doing nothing.
Have to make split second decisions to keep you on your toes and sharp.
Helps with observation skills.
Cons: The low pay and shift work.
Weird hours.
Stressful situations with lots of ridicule if not handled the way someone else would handle it.
Lack of moving up in the field of work, takes too long.
