Security Officer Reviews
What is it like working as a Security Officer?
December 2019
My work is my home, I come do my work and go home with ease.
Security Officer in Melbourne:
Pros: Friendly Staff, and knowing people at work, and getting good impressions and trust worthy reputations, I like customer service routine.
Cons: Lest is my hours I start.

Security Officer in Houston:
I work at Woodforest bank as an armed guard. The client pays Securitas 31hr per officer. However we get 13.50 with 32.5hrs one week and 39.5 the next. After taxes it comes to 1296 a month. That is not a very a living wage. Cheats apartment is 800 dollars not including bills. I was told when I transferred to huouston from Dallas that and I quote “not to make waves nor are you to draw your firearm even if it is to protect my life or others” end quote. This company has dragged Pinkertons name through the mud here in Houston as well as Dallas. I will have been with Securitas for three years come Cev 2 2020. I have even applied for a branch managers position only to be told by Tom Gross the VP in Dallas head quarters “that I’m to honest” that’s why I didn’t get the position. I’m sorry our first core value is integrity. But I’m to honest. I have watched pour work ethics and have even been shorted on hours when I work 72 hrs in a week just so Mr. Donald Lawson could make his numbers look good to his VP. Took 3 weeks to get most of it back and I’m still owed two hrs of OT. Which I will never see.

December 2019
Undervalued.
Security Officer in Charlotte:
Pros: Product
Cons: Pay
December 2019
Low low pay.
Security Officer in Ottawa:
Pros: There is nothing I like about the company. The managers are shady and never have direct answers to questions. They get mad at other companies that pay better because they dont want to pay a livable wage.
Cons: Pay, upper management will tell you how important you are and that you're family while in the same breath telling you that you are replaceable. Its sickening and unprofessional.
November 2019
Under paid.
Security Officer in Weehawken:
Pros: helping others
Cons: no respect and underpaid
a new employee makes the same rate as a senior security guard with 18 years with the company
