ScrumMaster Reviews
What is it like working as a ScrumMaster?
April 2019
Undervalued Importance of Standards, Processes and Methodologies.
ScrumMaster in Sacramento:
Pros: Ability to work constructively for change, including fulfillment of defined initiatives, missions, programs and projects.
Cons: Leadership does not draw upon its subject-matter experts to provide valuable perspective and depth of understanding. The gap becomes evident when decisions are made and the staff is challenged to determine how to transition to that decision, without any business interruption, and at a minimal cost and duration.
March 2019
A chance to turn over a new leaf, but inertia remains.
ScrumMaster in Seattle:
Pros: Great people. Low-stress environment where everyone seems to want to pull in the same direction. Dress code is a chance to look sharp in a city that seems to actively shun that.
Cons: For a Fortune 500 company, management is ridiculously cheap, often for seemingly poor reasons. Company is trying to move away from old-fashioned bureaucratic development processes, but there are a few dinosaurs who seem like they just won't get on board for the big win.
February 2019
Flexible working arrangement.
ScrumMaster in Perth:
Pros: Flexible working arrangement
Cons: Lack of recognition
February 2019
ScrumMaster:
Management is aloof, they don't understand the importance of the different roles. HUGE lack of transparency amongst teams. People being put into roles without any credentials or experience in those roles. Too many changes all the time. You have to be fearful of the people on your own team. NO consistency at any level for anything. Good people end up getting fed up and leaving. If you have a good manager like I do at this time, it makes things a bit more bearable and overtime you become like the rest of the people who work their and stop caring. Benefits get better the longer you're there and if you ask most employees, that's what keeps them around. The good people who want to do the right thing and make a difference, leave as soon as they can, sometimes before even having another opportunity lined up. I've seen them fall like flies and continue seeing that now at a senior level as well.
February 2019
ScrumMaster:
Worst experience with no vision and strategy for bench employees.
They would tell you like they have a lot of projects but they aren't doing well currently. I would not recommend anyone to join here.
January 2019
The benefits are great.
ScrumMaster in Tampa:
Pros: The benefits. I have great health insurance and I’m going back to school for free.
January 2019
ScrumMaster:
Only been working here for about a month, but so far it is a great company to work for. Co-workers are all very helpful to get me on-boarded. Work from home is great flexibility. Management has a good vision.
