Set achievable and realistic goals, and continue to enforce and review strategies in order to maintain momentum. Analytical skills are key for accurate supply and demand forecasting and management reports. Track and record behaviour when implementing and driving strategies and solutions. Report on progress to management in order to get and keep stakeholder buy-in and co-operation. Performance and supplier relationship management is key to successful supplier management. Reward good behaviour and never tollerate unethical dealings. High stress and need to be able to work under pressure. Indirectly and directly manage internal business stakeholders and external suppliers, be firm and assertive and keep communication channels open.
