Be organized manage your people make sure it is clear what is expected of them and make sure their product knowledge is up to date make everything fun but serious. Give credit and let them know they are doing a great job.

Going in, have a game plan and a philosophy for how you are going to approach and manage staff, customers, and how you can contribute the most value to the employer and their business. As soon as possible, get a feel for the dynamics of the business and how it's popular demographic shops, and play to what makes the business thrive, and having a well thought out approach to problem-solving aspects that may hurt the progress of the business. Have confidence in your abilities, strengths, and experiences so that you may lead effectively by earning the respect of your staff, never have to demand it.
