Receptionist:
Pros: It can be a fast-paced job and time passes quickly. The responsibility for keeping the ward secure. Opportunity to browse online when I am free.
Cons: Restricted movement at times. Handling too many demands and tasks at once. Trying to meet the demands of an impatient staff and patients all the time. Insular management and preference given to staff of a certain type. Inability to assert oneself without criticism. No opportunity to progress or expect anything more than a 1% annual pay increase. Feeling undervalued and unappreciated at times. Suspect that other people take credit for my inventions and endeavours.
