Psychotherapist:
Pros: Being my own boss. Determining my own schedule and workload. My work is very rewarding and is helpful to individuals and families.
Cons: What I can earn per hour and per year is limited to the number of hours I personally can work in a week and what insurance companies and/or individuals will pay per hour. I have no additional benefits or paid time off. I often feel isolated given that I do not have colleagues.
