Psychotherapist Reviews

What is it like working as a Psychotherapist?

January 2020
Diverse community that needs a little polishing.
Psychotherapist in Durham:
Pros: Community feels engaged and there is always opportunity to expand services.
Cons: Limited resources
November 2019
Psychotherapist in Rochester:
Cons: No assigned permanente office, assigned to a different office every day, no way to access therapy materials as you can’t wheel them all around every day. When you work 10 hr shifts, 4 day’s per week they do not schedule you the same start or end time everyday, when your schedule the extra day off it is not a 3 day in a row, it’s a random day :m, ex: you could be assigned to work M,T,W, off Thur, work Fri. You might work 7am-3:30 mom, 9:00 am to 7:30 pm tues, 8:00-6:30 weds, 7:00-5:30 fri. If your reg scheduled day off is on a holiday you are only paid for 8 hours, they force you to use 2 hours vacation for each 10 hr day that falls on a holiday, if not you are shorted 8 hours pay in your check. There are no 15 minute breaks in a 10 hr day, only a choice of a 30 min or a 60 minute lunch. You get 1 hr a week for charting on 30 to 40 patients. You are scheduled 9 to 10 patients in a 10 hr day in Psychiatry.
