The culture at Centene revolves around profit; profit over members, profit over employees. Centene is also not concerned with being understaffed and asking their employees to take on more responsibilities without being compensated. The company's profits are soaring during COVID-19 and membership has grown exponentially, which is lining the pockets of the CEO and shareholders. The CEO of this predominately Medicaid company makes over $20 million a year, while Customer Service Agents that work for the company make a little more than minimum wage and receive no benefits.
