Product Owner Reviews
What is it like working as a Product Owner?
May 2016
Rewarding, challenging, but good.
Product Owner:
Pros: I like the innovation and creativity required to do my job well. We have to move with both the market and new technological trends, and that keeps us all on our toes. In addition, I actually like the constant curve-balls we're thrown, as it provides more inherent challenge in accomplishing our goals.
Cons: It's often difficult to get resources, as we have so many priorities. There aren't enough developers to go around, and that can stall work.

Very Interesting Role That Always Presents New Challenges.
Product Owner:
Pros: Ability to work directly with the engineers and with the customers to figure out what solutions will best address the customers need.
Cons: Lots of day-to-day tactical management is required to ensure the software teams keep moving forward. This means there is not a lot of time for strategic/long-term planning and product road map/vision development.
