Cons: Product Engineers are not valued appropriately and are held to unfair standards for the compensation provided. Much of the salary is contingent on bonus performance criteria, which are barely achievable for the first one or two years in the position. Additionally, there is absolutely zero room for advancement without a member of management quitting or retiring.
