Overworked and Underpaid.
Product Engineer in Brooklyn:
Pros: Research and learning opportunities when time permits, of which there is little of however.
Cons: Absolutely no time to pursue any of the research that was the original draw to the company

Work wise I learned many technical stuffs but professional growth is not very appreciated or encouraged.

Cons: No appreciation at work. Manager target individually. No scope to grow or change your image. Pay is not very fair and not transparent.

Cons: on-call for 2 weeks at a time as primary. work life balance not always easy. difficult to plan time off.
