Pros: I love working with next generation technology in a competitive environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
Cons: Common sense isn't often rewarded and doing things the way they have always been done is common place. Experience isn't valued and often key contributors get burnt out quickly moving on to fresh roles in other groups or entirely new companies. Thrash and movement is confused with growth and progress.

Challenging but fun.

Pros: I like that I get to immerse myself with a lot of engineering problems on a daily basis.
Cons: I wish there were more people that support a project. Every bit of management falls to the engineer when the going gets tough. Deadlines don't move, but the workload sometimes piles up too much that it become very difficult to focus on engineering work.
