Make sure you have a direction before studying.
Photographer:
Art school is expensive. Work experience and mentoring are more effective tools to prepare you for industry and cost nothing. Get time in a busy studio. You'll learn how to light everywhere in most situations.
A degree is nice to have but you'll be paying for it for a long time so make sure you factor that in.

90% admin , editing , building relationships , customer relations , query handling , travelling , training working to deadlines managing people's expectations ...dealing with the mother of the bride to the challenging child to the client with no brief ..be adaptable ..pleasant in all situations & build a database of clients to continue to work with.
