December 2015
Personal Care Attendant (PCA):
Well, to start with make sure this is the field you are passionate about, because it can become quite challenging but on the flip side it has many rewards. I am not referring to monetary value, but the fact you are making the difference in the lives of our clients. You are part of an caring and devoted team dedicated to the care and well-being of the clients you are caring for. Keep in mind that someday you will become old, possibly fragile. Treat your clients as though they were your family members-mother, father, sister, brother, etc.... In turn you will reap the rewards professionally and personally. I would strongly recommend that you remember you are important to them even though they may or may not show it.
