A lot is expected of this position as more middle management work trickles down. Also quite often short staffed so workload is quite heavy. Wages do not reflect the effort it takes to get though a day at times.

Cons: Lack of accountability for the cases that we manage as the more hardworking ones have to pick up the slack for the less competent team members. Kissing your manager's behind will get you further than actually working hard.
