Patient Care Technician in Indianapolis:
I have worked on a med surg unit at the Indianapolis hospital and it’s been so hard. The unit is understaffed, but there is more people getting hired which is good. The unit is a ton of work for the techs due to high ratios! I have up to 13 patients which absolutely sucks. The unit has a high turnover rate due to lack of money and high ratios.
