Paralegal Reviews

What is it like working as a Paralegal?

January 2017
Insanely stressful and rewarding.
Paralegal in Kansas City:
Pros: I get to work with intelligent people, in an environment that is driven by client relationships, and I get to help people.
Cons: Dealing with clients who have no knowledge of the process and are very rude, unattainable deadlines and pressure to reach them, attorneys who treat paralegals poorly and are condescending, work load is way to high.
August 2016
Starting at the Bottom.
Paralegal:
Pros: I like the high-importance and pressing nature of the work that I do.
Cons: It is extremely stressful and high-stakes.
August 2016
Flexible work schedule, complex tasks and responsibilities.
Paralegal:
Pros: The freedom to work independently. I can always ask for guidance or clarification if I need it. Everyday is a learning process. My attorney provides the opportunity to grow in my career field.
Cons: I am the only assistant, no legal secretary or other paralegals. Only one attorney in the office. Not the most interesting area of law to work in.
July 2016
Raise time.
Paralegal:
Stay in your seat. Try not to socialize and just do your job. Be proactive not reactive.
June 2016
Paralegal:
Pros: Drafting and attending court.
Cons: Conditions and payment.
June 2016
Works well under pressure and knows litigation inside/out.
Paralegal:
Pros: The responsibility I am entrusted with.
Cons: The lack of decent pay is frustrating.
May 2016
Paralegal:
Attorneys are jerks. So are business owners. No one cares or appericates your work.
