Employing Your Talents In The In-house Legal Department.
Paralegal:
NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING! Check and double check all your information at hand. Investigate, ask, make notes, review information and analyze it. Do not make rush assessments. Think. Do not overtake responsibilities even though you can do the job. Think always about the liabilities. Prevent. Have a vision of the worst case scenario. In legal, you can never assume but yes, it is ok to think the worst case scenario so you can foresee and prevent what could happen.
December 2013
Stress Level.
Paralegal:
I wish I had learned to say 'no' easier and earlier. Currently working for 4 lawyers as well as managing several legal assistants, the level of demand on me is higher now than ever. I have also learned to start to take time for myself in order to maintain some sort of balance. The best type of worker is someone who can compartmentalize and prioritize extremely well.

Flexible work hours.
Paralegal:
Pros: Independence, job satsifaction.
Cons: Pressure.
