Outside Sales Representative Reviews

What is it like working as an Outside Sales Representative?

June 2024
Lack of Trust from the Upper Management Was an Awful Problem.
Outside Sales Representative in Seattle:
Pros: The PTO was okay. Not great, but okay.
Cons: Upper management didn't trust anyone. They were reluctant to communicate effectively with different departments or department head because they didn't trust employees. This ridiculous approach led to terrible communication gap and chaos. They avoided all advice offered by supervisors and did whatever they liked. It's not working. Employees are getting disappointed and leaving! Only the leadership can fix the situation, but I know they won't!
March 2024
So far it has been a complete disaster and we have lost thousands of customers. Epic fail!
Outside Sales Representative in Alpharetta:
Pros: My customers and my team.
Cons: It is very unorganized and non-transparent with transition and also lacking in proper equipment. Used to be successful in the field as outside sales people..
July 2023
Working Remotely - Sales Outbound Calls.
Outside Sales Representative in Los Angeles:
Pros: I only call in this area, I work from overseas.
Cons: Being in the food industry and calling restaurants to see if they want to make an order at certain times can be difficult as they are busy when we are trying to get more clients as a wholesale company.
December 2022
Challenging but rewarding.
Outside Sales Representative in Raleigh-Durham:
Pros: Work life balance for the most part. Freedom to work my territory as I see fit for success.
Cons: At times micro management and lack of support on administrative tasks that should be handled internally that keep me from being in the field pursuing outside sales business.
November 2022
It is good as you get to meet many new different people.
Outside Sales Representative in Chicago:
Pros: I enjoy being in the city a lot.
Cons: The cold winters.
October 2022
Over Promised Under Delivered.
Outside Sales Representative in Edmonton:
Pros: Meeting New People, Co Workers outside of Management
Cons: The promise of High Commisions payouts and lack of quickness for creating accounts resulting in delayed installs for customers
October 2022
It's pretty good. I enjoy the freedom I have to do my job.
Outside Sales Representative in Lincoln:
Pros: Being able to take off of work to go to my children's school and sports functions
