Nursing Manager Reviews

What is it like working as a Nursing Manager?

October 2019
Nursing Manager in Evansville:
I loved the people I worked with, except the DON . She's unfair, will not take the blame for things she had you do per her orders. She threw me under the bus. So rather than continue to work there, I left to save my nursing license.

Nursing Manager in Mankato:
Ecumen has great benefits (401k match up to 6%, competitive health insurance) and is a great organization with an inclusive culture. The only downsides: low pay rate and senior leadership are not held accountable.

Nursing Manager in Towson:
The hospital mirrors what is going on overall in healthcare—there are a lot of opportunities to work and grow but the workload is heavy and the pay does not reflect this. The experience I have gained has been very invaluable in my future career in leading organizations and resource management, but my stamina and mental health have been greatly tested. I have proven to myself that ‘what does not kill you makes you stronger’ and at this point my staff and loved ones think I am a superhero for having lived and world through what I endured.

July 2019
Great culture, great fringe benefits!
