Medical Transcriptionist Reviews
What is it like working as a Medical Transcriptionist?
August 2015
Being able to sit 8 hours a day.
Medical Transcriptionist:
Know your vocabulary, be very conscientious about grammar, learn to be a 'foreign correspondent' and become familiar with a variety of accents and English as second or third language physicians.
July 2015
Med Trans.
Medical Transcriptionist:
Pros: I like the typing and being indecent. My schedule is flexible.
Cons: My boss and the low pay with no benefits.
January 2015
It is a good job but can be a bit boring, a lot of sitting.
Medical Transcriptionist:
This is a great career however it does not require getting out of your seat much so I would advise, for those who do not want to sit constantly, flex hours or work at home, where you have the option to work as many hours per day as you feel comfortable as long as you do put your time in for the week, providing the work load permits.
January 2015
Medical Transcriptionist:
Seek a different field of study and/or other employment.
October 2014
Cheap company with cruddy practices.
Medical Transcriptionist:
Pros: Working at home.
Cons: They make you think that you can earn a whole lot of money with incentive, but the scores are skewed and everything I produce goes to India for review. Nuance has cheated me out of several dollars and continues to take money out of my pocket with their business practices (first in and first out that they advertise is untrue). When I complain to management, they throw a pacifier in my mouth and nothing changes (unfair QC, cherry picking, etc.)
August 2014
Do not become a medical transcriptionist.
Medical Transcriptionist:
April 2014
Medical Transcriptionist:
Go to school as long as you can.
