I was paid 10% below market rate. I never got a salary increase higher than 3%. I’d performed at a high level for 2 of seven years there and only got a 3% raise each time. Senior management not on site determined the raises and wasn’t based upon the feedback from the middle management. I should have been promoted twice in that span concurrently with my MBA and was not. Eaton leadership doesn’t realize there is a shortage of STEM students graduating from colleges now and growing existing employees careers is paramount to their success of wining future programs. Nor do they realize that they are also going to struggle to compete against the top tier aircraft companies for new and existing engineers in the industry. Bottom line they need to do everything they can to keep existing talent. I left Eaton for a 60% raise.

Eaton is below average on the pay scale. I haven’t had a substantial raise the 7 years I’ve been there. I’ve recently completed my MBA at a very reputable institution with a high GPA and no talks of a raise.
