What is it like working as a Housekeeper?

January 2017
A wealth of opprotunity.
Housekeeper in Springfield:

Cons: Side streets during inclement weather.

Helping Out.
Housekeeper in Alberta:

Cons: Not appriceaded, from the senior management.
November 2016
I was harassed everyday I worked.
Housekeeper:
Pros: Co- workers were awesome. The only reason I showed for work everyday.
Cons: Getting harassed everyday by the owner of the hotel.
September 2016
Housekeeper:

Cons: I don't like when my hours are cut down.
September 2016
Hospitality for Life!
Housekeeper:
Pros: Being able to provide good customer service to our customers, meet the requirements of my job and go above and beyond when possible. Meeting people from all over the world. The independence in the work-place; no boss breathing over your shoulder. Team environment none the less. Never work later than 5pm.
Cons: Management. Poor organizational skills by employers and other staff. Orders not properly done, customer's reviews on trip adviser not replied to, comment cards left by guests are ignored/they don't apologize for anything the guests complain about. Honestly, GM doesn't seem to care about the place other than in and out for the money he makes.

Better pay.
Housekeeper:
I hope everything else goes well and they should pay housekeepers for what they are worth it's very hard work but it can be done but it's like living in poverty.
September 2016
Its frustrating.
Housekeeper:
Pros: I get to work alone, I enjoy being able to help others and I build great relationships with my clients.
Cons: I get taken advantage of when I'm played...I don't get paid what I'm worth or no matter how good of job I do or how many hours I work I dont get compensated. I don't get paid extra for doing carpets, windows. Laundry services, cooking or pet care.
