Most departments value having a dedicated analyst within their team. There is a push to consolidate them into a GIS team; However, due to funding priorities, city/county structure a fully conversion isn’t likely.
Lincoln has a wonderful data structure, and the management staff take pride in proving great infrastructure.
The local/regional team meets for mappy hours near quarterly. Above all we share freely and ask for help freely.
