Food Service Manager Reviews

What is it like working as a Food Service Manager?

January 2019
Food Service Manager:
The mission statement is one I agree with. It is hard working in food service because we were always short staffed. I worked 60 - 80 hrs a week working for months at as time with no days off. The rest of the staff tends to treat kitchen help as second class citizens. Just because they are unaware of what it takes to work in a kitchen. Took 2 years to get a full crew. So my job is easier But management still has no ideal what my job entails. And when I try to teach them they dont have the time to learn. Its not as easy as I make it look.

It's a 12 month contract. If you want the summer off this isn't the place for you. Also everything is your responsibility but don't worry! You have benefits!
