Environmental Scientist Reviews
What is it like working as an Environmental Scientist?
October 2015
OK.
Environmental Scientist:
Pros: Field work and working with the Environment.
Cons: The managment at my office tends to underperform.
August 2015
Advice.
Environmental Scientist:
Note: My experience is limited to consulting for a medium-sized but high end national firm.
There may not be as much room for growth as you think, without an advanced degree. If you are out of college, expect to do a lot of boring grunt work for not much thanks. You must be your own advocate and gracefully but consistently push for opportunities that interest you. If you are a creative person you may end up hating this job. You may not end up making as much money as you think. You will be exposed to a diverse array of work, but none of it is that complex or interesting.
April 2015
Need to be attention to detail and writing.
Environmental Scientist:
Be proactive, be able to give information on time to supervisor, Know what you are doing.
April 2015
Environmental Scientist:
Pros: Working on projects and initiating change for the good.
Cons: Too little pay. Treated like officials but not paid as such.
February 2015
Great place to work.
Environmental Scientist:
Pros: Great people, work/life balance, cool projects, great opportunities.
Cons: Just like all consulting work, at times it is frustrating to stay billable.
January 2015
Great company.
Environmental Scientist:
Pros: Flexibility and travel opportunities.
Cons: High overhead and too many chiefs.
December 2014
Environmental Scientist:
Pros: Variety in projects, flexible schedule, private office, and oppertunity for growth.
Cons: Profit is prioritized above integrity, and too much needless stress in day to day operations.
