Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer Reviews
What is it like working as a Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer?
October 2021
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in San Ramon:
Mostly bad experience. Rude management, below the market pay. Unpaid overtimes and extra work for "shiny badges". No real reason to stay with the company unless you are a junior level eng in need of experience.
April 2021
Great start, stagnant career path.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in Dallas:
Pros: Full use of my skills.
Great compensation.
Good culture.
Work-life balance.
New education opportunities.
Good work remote lifestyle.
Cons: Stagnant role.
After six years, still have same title, even after many organization changes.
No advancement opportunities.
No career path.
Even lateral movement next to impossible (we've lost associates wanting to join our team due to lack of process).
Onboarding is a challenge.
Too many tools in our chain across departments.
March 2021
Cheap and decent.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in Akron:
Pros: It's cheap to live here.
Cons: Not an incredible number of things to do, and it can be a rough place to live depending on what neighborhood you're in.
February 2021
Good exposure to latest technologies, great opportunity to learn.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in Bangalore:
Pros: Good exposure to latest technologies
Cons: Salary very average
November 2020
Affordable small town.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in Lompoc:

Cons: Not a lot of great business opportunities.
October 2020
The city is filled with warm people and incredible food.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in Guadalajara:
Pros: I have always lived here. So I'm naturally in love with the city. I think the weather is perfect, not too hot or cold as in other states; I'm 3 hours from beach and I'm in the second largest city of México, which gives me the opportunity to have everything a city has to offer, but also, due to Jalisco's territorial extension I am 1 hour away from some different town, which are really cool, I can have forest, beach, lakes, ranchs and some other kind of places to visit plus live in a good city..
Cons: We don't have a good transport system, I need to ride my car everywhere if I need to use my time wisely and If I want to avoid stalkers since I'm a girl.
September 2020
COVID Means No Traffic.
Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer in Philadelphia:
Pros: Traffic is horrible, but working with a good company makes the trek work it.
Cons: How excruciatingly difficult it is to travel anywhere. Pre-COVID concerns.
