Demand Planner Reviews
What is it like working as a Demand Planner?
April 2023
Rewarding.
Demand Planner in Salt Lake City:
Pros: Working here gives you a sense of pride knowing you are providing customers with the gear they need to create lasting memories in the outdoors.
March 2023
Underpaid.
Demand Planner in Niantic:
Pros: My management is good
Cons: Bad raises and pay for existing employees. New hires out of college start at a significantly higher pay than existing employees with more experience
July 2022
Overworked, underappreciated, undermanned, and aimless.
Demand Planner in San Diego:
Pros: Fully remote organization with no physical offices
Cons: The organization is the definition of too heavy - too many people up too with not enough hands on the bottom to carry out the workload. There is very little support from the higher ups with no cost of living or even percentage raises in the past two years. My team has lost 9 people and gained 1 in the past two years leaving us at a net loss of 8. Despite this our productivity and output is supposed to remain the same despite the reduced manpower. It’s truly backwards. Every time we get an update from corporate we’re constantly told the dire straits we are in and then just given an “atta boy” to come us motivated. There has been much improvement in transparency from the higher ups but there seems to be little opportunity to move upward in the organization. It seems whenever you enter the management ranks a target is painted on your back. To almost everyone I’ve spoken to, the general mentality is keep your head down, keep your mouth shut, and just try to keep your head above water.
July 2022
Overworked, underappreciated, and aimless.
Demand Planner in San Diego:
Pros: 100% remote work with no physical office
Cons: High turnover rate, in less than 2 yea hrs there were 3-4 different org charts put forth. In that same amount of time my team has lost 9 people and had 1 new hire who I know is actively looking for another role. There is a lack of guidance, direction, and oversight. It is pure chaos. And not the good fun kind.
May 2022
Rewarding.
Demand Planner in Indianapolis:
Pros: When things go like they are supposed to and we can work together, fairly well
Cons: I am still not respected even though I am very thorough in making sure i am current on dates and quantity. I work close with Material planner and production planners and Engineers to make the job flow.
March 2022
Good weather on sunny days.
Demand Planner in Lisbon:
Pros: The opportunity to move freely between business units
Cons: The pay gap between portugal and the other european countries
February 2022
Great Company, But Don't Overextend Yourself.
Demand Planner in Chicago:
Pros: Great atmosphere and exposure to other departments
Cons: Lack of upward mobility
