Pay equity is all over the place and the work on the admin side depends heavily on consumer and employee leadership visibility. If those in leadership have high visibility to your job only then can you make more money.

Cons: Organization seems to be directionless, my direct manager has no idea what I do and is not qualified for her job. Communication is poor, and every two years they reorg and do layoffs right before Christmas.

Pros: I enjoy the fact that even though I work within the billing department, that we have the ability to provide outstanding care for our patients as well.
Cons: I believe that the communication is lacking between departments and managerial staff. The pay also does not equate for the amount of work done.

Pros: The culture is truly based around patient care. You see this daily from everyone. I couldn't picture myself elsewhere.
Cons: Though, it is a hospital, it is also a business; therefore, from a business prospective somethings take priority over others. However, on a positive note, this leads back to our patients always taking presidence.
