Work profile

The Thick and Thin
Control / Automation Technician:
Pros: Always traveling to new places, very technical and ever changing. Never doing the same thing over and over again. A technical knowledge of many different things are required. It's not a job easily maintained by someone of basic capabilities. Troubleshooting and problem solving are always a mandatory
Cons: Stress is huge. The equipment you work on is incredibly expensive and not easily repaired in the field. When a $25k component breaks on a $500k piece of equipment working on a job that is time dependent and worth several million dollars and your the only person in the company with experience and the know how to fix it, it gets heated really fast. Being away from home is a pro and a con. Its nice to get out and see the world but it drains on a person. five days turn into ten and fifty turn into a hundred.
