Pros: The people! I love my boss! She’s great to work with. Other techs are fun. Low stress.
Cons: The pay. Having to earn our sick leave or vacation time. Overtime is not paid fairly. On call isn’t paid fairly.

Pros: All knowledge I have gained over the years and making a difference in the lives of my clients and my patients.
Cons: All the stress from having to do 3 peoples jobs all at once. No real organization in my day and all the talking I have to on the phone.

If you are looking to support a family, this is not a good career choice. If you do it and understand you live paycheck to paycheck and want to do it for the love of animals then it may be for you. No one told me I would be a lion tamer so to speak..good luck with career.
