Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) Reviews
What is it like working as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)?
May 2022
No place like home.
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in Columbus:
Pros: Being close to OSU, and it being one of the best veterinary medicine teaching hospitals, provides many opportunities for both acknowledgement and learning. It's also a growing city thats becoming more and more popular as a choice city to live in with each passing day, so as competition grows proportionally to city growth, it does somewhat help drive salary offerings up in my field. Besides that, its peaceful, full if good animal loving people and living people in general, with the offerings equal to or greater than that of those in many of today's more popular cities like L.A., Chicago, New York, Vegas, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, and Boston. All for a lower cost of living , but higher quality of life, i.m.o..
Cons: Some of the ghetto and poor bound people tend to be of the "victim" mentality that is off putting and very self entitled. They are the group that a l so treats their pets the worst as well.
September 2021
Slower pace than the cities, but not as progressive as the cities.

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in Warwick:

Cons: Rude, disrespectful clients
July 2019
Tough Love.
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in Tucson:
Pros: I have freedom and autonomy to perform my job function due to the level of trust I've earned as a senior member of the staff.
Cons: There's almost no communication between support staff and the administrative team; much of this is also sweet talk to placate staff. Very little discussed or announced is ever followed through on.
