September 2020
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) in Memphis:
It is a great entry-level job in the healthcare field. The beginning pay is not bad and increases the longer you stay with the company. A beginning technician with no training can start making $10/hr., once certified can make $12-13/hr. Senior technicians (4-5 years’ experience) can make between $14-$18/hr. The bad part is it takes so long to make the better pay and your responsibilities increase as well. It is not a good salary for certified or senior technicians that do so much work daily. The pay should definitely be higher there.

June 2020
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) in Cambridge:
Very stressful. Training is a joke. New employees are trained by several different employees who all do things differently. “Everyone has their own way of doing things; you will find your own way”, they all said. When you try to do things “your way” mgmt writes you up for doing things wrong. One new employee walked out in the middle of her shift because the guy training her was being rediculous. All of the employees complain everyday, but are afraid to say anything because they are afraid of getting fired. The pharmacy supervisors are unfair and unwilling to recognize or change things that are disrupting the pharmacy. I was let go with “we just feel you don’t fit, among others. I say thank you!
