March 2022
Working in Honolulu.
Business Administrator in Honolulu:
Pros: I really like the building the office is located in. Great temperatures, neighboring businesses in each previous buildings and the current one have all been great!
Cons: Honestly, the only thing I'm not a fan of for working in Honolulu is the occasional disruption to the bus schedule.
April 2020
Pay has not kept pace with COL.
Business Administrator in Seattle:
Pros: Seattle is an amazing city with many industries and workplaces, including some big names.
Cons: I make significantly more than most in my situation, and I'm still firmly lower-middle-class here. It's incredibly unaffordable unless you're in an extremely competitive field, and the distribution of tax burden is extremely skewed towards those of us making less than 100k/year. The lack of a progressive state income tax, coupled with the super-wealthy buying up all the housing as investment properties, has made COL balloon while pay has stagnated in most sectors. Even the $15/hr minimum wage is laughable in the face of the actual cost of living here.
December 2019
Not good.
Business Administrator in Kimberley:

Cons: no opportunities
