Assistant Director of Admissions (College/University) Reviews

What is it like working as an Assistant Director of Admissions (College/University)?

December 2018
Assistant Director of Admissions (College/University):
Love working here been there for 10 year great educational benefits. Health benefits offered but a bit costly. Salary is on par with other private universities but is in lower scale. However, the atmosphere and time off, work life balance make up.

Love Phx.
Assistant Director of Admissions (College/University) in Phoenix:
Pros: Phoenix is a great city to work in. The commute isnt too bad and the pay could be better but overall I love it.
Cons: Hot weather in summer for 4 to 5 months but rest of year is amazing. Not a lot of culture here.

A Lot of Traveling - Very Gratifying in the End.
Assistant Director of Admissions (college/university):
Make sure the college/university pays for your rental vehicle while out recruiting. Make sure you are reimbursed for all expenses while out on the road. Listen to the students when they speak to you they are trying to find their way.
December 2015
The lack of diversity.

Communicate!
Assistant Director of Admissions (college/university):
My advice for anyone starting in Admissions is to make sure that you are a good communicator. It is imperative to be able to communicate with students, parents, faculty, teachers, guidance counselors, etc.
