Analytical Chemist:
Supervisors and managers of Analytical dept. Yell at their reports on a daily bases creating a very negative work environment, affecting negatively not only the productivity, but also the personal health. This has been a misstreatment culture in the company for many years and top management does nothing to fix it! What a shame!

Love job but Silicon Valley is VERY expensive though.

Pros: Ability to seek out areas for group improvement and independent technical expertise, and go after them.
Cons: Silicon Valley is VERY expensive, tough to live here and grow financially with current rate of compensation.

Pros: Houston is a good city to live and has lots of opportunities.
Cons: Commute can be slow.

Traffic and pay.
Analytical Chemist in Toronto:
Pros: Nothing really. The job scene is bad.
Cons: The traffic is horrendous. The salary structure doesnt comepnsate for the living expense. Exorbitant tax.

A positive experience.
Analytical Chemist:
Pros: Opportunities to learn, develop and validate a variety of dissolution, HPLC and GC methods for GMP drug analysis in support of release, validation, development and stability testing. Ability to work closely with a team of diverse skilled and character people. Many opportunities for advancement and a range of business units to suit any desired career path. Pay increases reflect input and ability. Flexible work hours. Managers are always open to suggestions of improvements.
Cons: Poor ability to resolve personality clashes, salaries aren't competitive. Work can be very stressful and comes in bursts, rather than a constant work schedule.

Pros: After completing all necessary tests, finalizing your work can feel very rewarding; the stress immediately disappears.
Cons: Routine responsibilities can get very repetitive after only a couple of weeks. The work itself require immense physical dexterity and patience. One must be able to work under pressure at any instance.
