Pros: Clarksburg is the County Seat of Harrison County, WV. My travel time to work is approximately 25-30 minutes. There are grocery and retail stores in this vicinity as well as banks, restaurants, gas stations, hotels, etc. The cost of living is moderate compared to bigger cities. This area seems to be up and coming. There are new commercial buildings being built as well as new apartment complexes. The County is trying to stimulate our economy.
Cons: Job opportunities in the immediate area are not always readily available. Because of the small size of the community most people stay in the positions with higher pay and benefits for as long as possible.
