Learn How to Market Yourself.
Administrative / Office Manager in Chicago:
Too often, people who do this kind of work do not know how to market their skills, and therefoere, are not properly compensated. To be good at this kind of work, there are many "soft" skills that are necessary, such as diplomacy, tact and ability to anticipate the needs of others. True, these skills are difficult to measure, however, professional references can play a key role in helping you to receive the kind of feedback you need to prove your value to a potential employer.
