Very low salaries with few opps for advancement beyond cost of living. Health plan okay, but takes months to book appts. Many benefits take years to kick in. Cost of mandatory parking pass is so high!
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
I work for Map of Life at Yale University. It started out as a good job where I could grow, but I've learned very few useful skills, management is incredibly demeaning and unethical, and my supervisor has no managerial skills. I was promised a full time job of 37.5 hours a week, and when I got my contract, it outlined almost half of that. When I questioned what this meant, they said I was still expected to work 37.5 hours a week even though I was being paid for half. When talking to HR, they made a solution to the financial aspect of this problem, but did nothing to resolve the toxic work environment.
