Wichita State University Reviews
What is it like working at Wichita State University?
Big opportunity to work yourself to death.
Director of Purchasing in Wichita:
Pros: Helping others and mentoring employees
Cons: Lack of decision making at higher levels
Power Plant Operator:
Pay is substantially too low for the experience needed to be a Power Plant Operator. Sick leave and vacation is good. Health insurance is way too high for no more pay than we get. Management does nothing to boost the morale, in fact they add to the low morale throughout the hourly people. We are charged to park on university property to go to work. Working conditions are unsafe. Safety checks on equipment isn't performed as should be. The culture is one that caters mostly to millennials than others. Would never encourage anyone to apply for work with them if there's a chance of finding work elsewhere.
