Western Digital Corporation Reviews

What is it like working at Western Digital Corporation?

The people and work are great but the pay is horrible.
Facilities Technician in Fremont:
Pros: The people that I work with and the work itself.
Cons: The very low wages.
Full of opportunities to expand your skills and to gain experience working in a well-known company.
Marketing Communications Coordinator in San Jose:
Pros: Working alongside creatives and marketing
Cons: Work can be stressful. The company isn't too receptive on WFH too often.
Great peers & co-workers.
Program Manager, Computer Software in Tustin:
Pros: Day-to-day work with my team on our program. The shared responsibility and success. Opportunities to be involved in our organizations D&I and transformation programs.
Cons: Executive management has been slow to change. However with Milligan announcing he will step down as CEO signals real leadership change to me. I am optimistic we will seek. a CEO, more experienced with growth marketing, innovation, D&I, vs. accounting.
Validation Engineer in San Jose:
Pros: Good opportunities to learn
Cons: Need to ask specifically for avenues to grow in. Mismanaged teams. Unfair pay after intergrations.
More research oriented work.
Machine Learning Engineer in Bangalore:
Pros: Freedom to experiment
Cons: Pay scale
Moderate growth opportunities with heavy male skew and old mindsets.
Social Media Manager in San Jose:
Pros: Having approvals to work in new ways, travel to trade shows when needed, and being able to build the brand I focus on.
Cons: Not aligned, unorganized processes, awful culture, lack of vision, product marketing do not have traditional expertise.
Very fast paced, sometimes difficult dealing with multiple timezones.
Program Manager, Engineering in Marlborough:
Pros: Freedom to do what is needed to manage programs successfully.
Cons: Long hours.
