West Texas A & M University Reviews

What is it like working at West Texas A & M University?

Assistant Professor, Postsecondary / Higher Education in Amarillo:
This is a teaching college only. It is a good place if you just want an income and dont have any ambitions to win grants or publish. There are no resources to support research. It is not a place for professors who want to contribute to the base of knowledge or aspire to advance their academic career. The students are spoon fed and must have a sample paper like in high school about the paper they have to write in a class. If they are given a sample paper instead of encouragement to develop independent thinking, then you are called a great professor.
Like living in Tornado Alley.
Retail Manager in Canyon:
Pros: Freedom to do work at my own pace and decide what to do
Cons: Not very challenging
Great to work at WTAMU!
Graphic Designer in Amarillo:

Cons: It can be very stressful.
