Visionworks Reviews

What is it like working at Visionworks?

Buying products and developing private label product for 700+ stores.
Product Manager, (Unspecified Type) in San Antonio:
Pros: The team I work with
Cons: Unclear direction by upper management
Don't.
Licensed Optician in Schenectady:
Pros: We are union, so the perks we get are negotiated for us through our local.
Cons: It is corporate hell. It's not about what's best for the patient but beat for the company. We are beaten over the head with goals and percentages, that are unrealistic.
Easy going lab but the retail floor is a joke. No training for new associates and upper management is the worst ive ever worked with.
Optical Laboratory Technician in Saugus:
Pros: I work by myself in the lab.
Cons: Upper management and how they run the business.
The Ups and Downs In A Visionworks Store Lab.
Optical Laboratory Technician in Hanover:
Pros: Plenty of work, co-workers are great, learn something new everyday.
Cons: Store manager and corporate oversight needs improvement, under appreciated and lack of value felt by most workers, morale is low and turnover is high. Had 4 different lab managers and 15+ different store employees and assistant managers in 3 years.
Good Opportunities if it is a Good Fit.
Licensed Optician in Oswego:
Pros: Getting to meet different people regularly and help people see better in life.
Cons: Explaining why it isn’t my fault that glasses are costly and many insurances don’t pay that well towards them.
