Virginia Health Services, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Virginia Health Services, Inc.?

Fast pace environment that does not pay empolys what they should. Very political and money driven company. Unrealistic expectations and disorganized.
Social Worker in Hampton:
Pros: The staff I work with
Cons: Low pay and amount of work load is overwhelming for one person.
Underpaid and unappreciated! Always short staffed! They will hire brand new nurses fresh out of school and offer the same pay that it took 4 years for a charge nurse to achieve.
Charge Nurse (LPN) in Yorktown:
Pros: Most of the patients and their families have alot of respect and appreciation for the nursing staff. As Charge nurse, my nursing knowledge, customer service and managerial skills are expected and respected by patients and families and most of the nursing staff.
Cons: My Director of Nursing is unprofessional and because of the position, I feel like my DON takes advantage of it and demeans staff regularly. Loss of staffing has and continues to be directly connected to the DON.
