VITAS Innovative Hospice Care Reviews

What is it like working at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care?

I love my job because I love caring for people.
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in Lakeland:
Pros: More communication
Cons: The pay everybody is making the same money that's not right when you've been there for a while and someone comes in making the same as you
Demanding, stressful.
Hospice Nurse in Storrs:
Pros: I like that I can make a difference in the lives of my patients and their families during the patients end of life transition
Cons: The company cuts corners regarding compensation to employees, and doesn't pay holidays, no merit raises
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN):
Pros: Helping patients and families find comfort and acceptance of their or their loved one's terminal illness at the end of their life. It is challenging, and rewarding, and definitely a calling.
Cons: The Politics, workplace bullying, & bureaucracy really make my work and home life difficult, and complicated, and have put me off of the profession. I deal every day with people who are going through possibly the worst time in their lives. My job is difficult enough, without having to put up with people who sit in an office all day, and have nothing better to do than to harass others, and complicate the simple act of extending your love to others.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Pros: The work I do & the benefits.
Cons: The stress of working 13 hours.
