VCA Animal Hospital Reviews
What is it like working at VCA Animal Hospital?
With people who do not like their job.
Veterinary Assistant in Arroyo Grande:
Pros: That there are two rvts that will help me through my learning and testing to become a rvt my self in a year so I can be able to strive at a different hospital.
Cons: Drama, lazy coworkers besides the rvts and people always complaining and calling in sick constantly which leads us to being shorthanded and not being valued or appreciated by management
Fast paced, collaborative hospital.
Associate Veterinarian in Philadelphia:
Pros: Great communication among staff with team collaborative environment. Ability to practice advanced medicine with many resources.
Cons: Corporate/managerial overshadowing can have negative effect on morale and ability to practice best medicine (i.e. excessive charging and prices). Poor staffing with too many tasks asked of single emergency doctor on staff.
Undervalued, overly connected, rarely affirmed.
Office Manager in White Plains:
Pros: Co workers, pets , good owners
Cons: Ignorance from clients. Expectations from corporate . Surviving check to check working over 40 hrs weekly
Wonderful, lots of learning possibilities.
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Pomona:
Pros: Extensive learning constantly.
Good environment.
Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Worcester:
Pros: Good group of hard working individuals who strive to give the best care to pet
Cons: Stressful
The team.
Veterinary Technician:
Pros: I enjoy working with the people. Both customers and employees.
Cons: My pay scale is to low.
Overworked, underpaid, management expects more and more.
Veterinary Technician:
Pros: Coworkers are good people who are great at their jobs. Doctors are the best I have worked with.
Cons: Getting paid minimum wage for a loyal employee who is supposedly "praised" and has been working with the company for four years is unacceptable. Taking on massive amounts of responsibility for unfair compensation. Employees are strung along for raises that are well deserved. Benefits are expensive!! Management is never around. Too many expectations from already overworked and underpaid employees has meant high turn around rate.
