VCA Animal Hospital Reviews

What is it like working at VCA Animal Hospital?

Veterinary Practice Manager in Woodbridge:
What is said and what is actually done are not the same, beware of unkept promises, double talk, and "corporate double talk". Management has their own agenda, they do not care about their employees. Toxic from the top down.
Overwhelming yet fulfilling.
Hospital Administrator in Las Vegas:
Pros: The people I get to work with on a daily basis, the freedom that if I'm doing my job well I'm left to do it without much over site or micromanagement. Working with clients and their pets is very rewarding.
Cons: It is stressful and emotional and in general the field is low paid for the weight of the responsibilities and expectations.
Very stressful, but rewarding.
Customer Service Representative (CSR) in Worcester:
Pros: Staying busy and helping owners and their pets
Cons: Dealing with rude or upset clients and with other's mistakes
Amazing, and working with the talent staff that I have is the main reason I have not looked elsewhere for employment. Going to work and being a part of the amazing team makes up for the poor pay.
Hospital Administrator in Sparks:
Pros: The constant change and new exciting programs, and my staff.
Cons: Feeling that the upper management ie office manager and upper staff does not support and value what my role is and how productive I am.
Fun, little stressful, rewarding.
Veterinary Assistant in Pasco:
Pros: Rewarding seeing a patient recover or heal and the animals/clients
Cons: Euthanasia’s, the hard times for owners during a sick pet
Able to utilize all y skills and grow.
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Oceanside:
Pros: Over the past 4 years, having an environment that I simultaneously was able to grow and learn but be guided into supervisor roles has been paramount. I didn't always have a supervisor so when I became a supervisor I became the supervisor I always wanted.
Cons: I'm so need that I fear leaving is going to cause aback step at practice I work at
Horrible.
