University of Wyoming (UW) Reviews

What is it like working at University of Wyoming (UW)?

A great team of colleagues and the opportunity to help students daily.
Academic Advisor in Laramie:
Pros: Mentoring students on a daily basis
Cons: My salary
Best position I have ever had.
Surgical Technician in Cheyenne:
Pros: Procedures
Cons: The overwhelming feeling that someone higher up is trying to sabotage our program and shut us down.
Case Manager in Casper:
The job is itself pretty good and fulfilling, however the pay is very poor so turnover happens frequently. There are cliques and communication is poor and morale is rock bottom. They need to recognize their valuable employees and give them the raises they deserve.
Viewed as a commodity.
Senior Web Developer in Laramie:
Pros: I believe that the work we are doing in my department is important and I know we are making a difference.
Cons: We are viewed as a commodity. Our work load is constantly increasing without additional resources or compensation. Upper management does not look at our workload to see if additional projects can be handled. Administration is not transparent in their policies and does little to improve morale.
